Its walls are nearly a thousand years old, valuable witnesses to wars and battles, naval sieges and medieval splendor. They have seen the sun rise 400,000 times: today you can also experience the'unique thrill of watching the sun rise over the sea, directly from the bed of the Tower.

Ground floor: kitchen, dining room and living room

The living area is the convivial heart of the Tower.

Starring in this space is. the Portoro marble table, a polychrome marble, the rarest in Italy, from the Gulf of Poets and mined only in these areas. Its color is unique: a brilliant black with golden veins that fade from yellow to honey.

A perfect place for romantic dinners in total privacy: a privilege for the few.

First Floor: bathroom and second room

A bathroom carved out of the rock, equipped with a spacious shower, of a Jacuzzi and a magnificent view of the Gulf. Give yourself some time to yourself while The sea is lost on the horizon, slowly changing color as the sun sets: Even an everyday gesture can become extraordinary.

Also on this floor is the guest room, a space that is anything but communal: the "Venus of Botticelli" bed was placed inside a shell, paying homage to the famous painting from which it was inspired. A surprising mix of elegance and creativity to accommodate two extra people.

This makes the Tower ideal not only for couples, but also for families or groups of up to four people, offering a comfortable and unique stay for all.

Second Floor: king bedroom

On the highest floor of the Tower, the room awaits you with its magnificent bed, an authentic work of art visually recalling the movements of the sea.

It has been made with 3D printing and finished with 24-karat gold detailing through an ancient medieval technique dating back to the 12th century. No artificial glue was used, preferring instead an organic infusion of plants and garlic-a method now fallen into disuse that we wanted to recover.

Roof: panoramic terrace

1. How many people can stay in the Capitolare Tower?

The Capitolare Tower is designed for two people, providing maximum privacy and fully dedicated service. However, it is possible to accommodate up to two additional guests thanks to the bedroom located on the second floor. There may be an additional charge for extra guests: contact us to receive more details and customize your stay.

2. Will the Tower, during my stay, be exclusively for me?

Yes, the Tower is a unique concept: it was created precisely with the intention of reserving the entire facility exclusively for you.

3. What is the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in is scheduled at 3:30 pm, and check-out is set for 10:30 am. If there are special needs, we can arrange early check-in or late checkout upon request.

4. How can I get to the Capitolare Tower?

Arriving by car is the most common option among our guests. Alternatively, we can arrange transfers to and from the La Spezia train station or to and from any airport in Italy (the closest are Genoa, Milan, Pisa, Florence and Bologna)

5. Is there parking available?

Portovenere, in order to preserve its beauty, has for years prohibited cars from passing through. There are only 60 spaces available in all, but don't worry: when you make your reservation, we will automatically reserve one for you in an underground parking lot.

6. How far is the Capitolare Tower from the Cinque Terre?

The Capitolare Tower is located about 20 minutes from Cinque Terre, Riomaggiore-for example-is only 7 km away. To reach them, one can take a boat that makes the journey about 20 times a day or request a private driver

7. Are there any beaches in Portovenere?

Yes there are several and all within walking distance.

8. If I need help planning my stay can you help me?

9. Are animals allowed?

Yes, pets are allowed upon request. After each stay with pets, we perform a deep cleaning service to ensure the highest level of hygiene and prevent any inconvenience to future guests, such as possible allergies.
